ABOUT CAROL STEWART

Too many senior women leaders, introverted leaders, and leaders from underrepresented groups are highly capable — with the track record to prove it — and yet quietly invisible at the level they are operating. They are passed over, overlooked, or held back by self-doubt and imposter syndrome — or exhausted by the effort of leading in environments that were not built for them. Organisations lose them — to frustration, to burnout, or to a competitor who finally sees what they are worth. I work with those leaders — and with the organisations that want to keep them. As a Coaching Psychologist, Executive and Leadership Coach with over a decade of practice, I specialise in confidence and overcoming self-doubt at senior level; visibility and influence for leaders who are capable but not yet fully seen; belonging and psychological safety in leadership culture; and the identity shift required at the Director-to-Executive transition — the challenge most leadership development programmes miss entirely. What changes is not just what you do, but how you see yourself — and that shift is what makes the difference sustainable. My approach is evidence-based, trauma-aware, and rooted in Coaching Psychology and my own MSc research — creating the conditions for authentic leadership to emerge and last. In practice, that means a space where you can be genuinely honest, questions that surface what you haven\'t yet named, and something concrete to act on after every session. Not performance to be maintained, but change that holds. I have worked with leaders and organisations across finance, law, healthcare, technology, higher education, government, media, and the not-for-profit sector, including Barclays, NatWest Group, NHS England, Crown Prosecution Service, ICAEW, and Warner Music Group. I am a LinkedIn Top Voice and author of Quietly Visible: Leading with Influence and Impact as an Introverted Woman. Since publication, over 1,800 introverted women leaders have completed my Confidence, Influence & Impact assessment — a body of insight that continues to shape my work and thinking, which reaches a global audience through the Quietly Visible Podcast and LinkedIn newsletter, read by over subscribers. I believe leaders and teams thrive when they feel they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic selves to work. That belief underpins everything I do — from one-to-one coaching to organisational programmes to the stage.
