Strategic compliance & risk management: I am responsible for transforming our legal and compliance function from a reactive service into a strategic business partner. I work to align our risk management framework with the company’s actual business needs, moving beyond legacy programs.Operational oversight & optimization: I manage day-to-day compliance operations, including hands-on supervision of KYC and third-party due diligence. I am actively working to streamline these processes, leveraging technology to automate and optimize our workflows.GDPR & Data Privacy: I serve as a primary point of contact for GDPR and data privacy matters, providing guidance to teams like Marketing and HR, and ensuring our policies and procedures are both compliant and effective.Cross-Functional collaboration: I partner with leaders across legal, product, finance, and other departments to embed a culture of compliance by design. My work includes helping teams understand their responsibilities and implementing new, scalable processes.Team leadership & Talent development: I provide strategic guidance and direct management to our legal counsel. My focus is on ensuring the team’s efforts are aligned with company objectives and providing mentorship for professional growth.Policy & program development: I am responsible for implementing and maintaining our ethics and compliance policies, while also building new programs to address emerging risks and regulations like the AI Act and Digital Services Act.
