Upon completion, will earn a 7-week paid internship on an investment team at a top asset management internship.
ABOUT CAROLINE RICHARDS
I am a motivated Utah State University sophomore majoring in finance and economics. My involvement in the Huntsman Business School includes the scholar program, businesses council, women in finance, and the investments club. With a strong passion for personal and professional growth, I have strong technical and academic skills in both financial modeling and financial analysis. My passion for a career in finance begun when I took on an analyst position at Old Main Ventures, a student-run venture capital fund. Within my role I lead deal teams, communicated with founders, conducted due diligence (reviewing the industry, competitive landscape, market share, exit opportunities, management, and financials) and presented investment opportunities to a professional investment committee. My hands-on experience includes serving as an analyst at the Sorenson Impact Center, a social impact VC fund managing $140 million. Here, I underwent rigorous training in sourcing early-stage companies, financial modeling, and valuation. Through this position, I constantly learn about new industries and look through investments through an impact lease. I am looking forward to further my exploration in a career in finance as I undergo the 11-week 2024 Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program. There, I will receive on campus training and an investment internship. I am eager to gain further experience and knowledge of the finance world.
