ABOUT CAROLINE HASLAM

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and Director with over 17 years professional services experience with PwC, based in Leeds.I joined PwC’s Audit practice in Newcastle upon Tyne in where I specialised in the private sector. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 and in 2007 I transferred to the Leeds office in Audit before joining the Forensics department in 2012. Over my career with PwC I have worked on a wide variety of organisations, including listed companies, foreign owned companies, privately owned and private equity backed businesses. I have worked across a wide range of industries in both the public and private sector and have worked on a number of assignments overseas including North America and Europe as well as a trip to Cambodia. My experience involves audit, non-audit work, accounting advice, due diligence, securitisation and forensic investigations, disputes and claims management.As a forensic accountant, I have worked on a range of financial and non-financial investigations (including accounting, financial reporting and regulatory irregularities), and various disputes. I have a focus on the healthcare sector and also help healthcare providers, regulators and investors deal with financial and regulatory crisis, governance and compliance issues. Work also involves providing more general governance, regulatory and leadership advice to Boards. In the private sector I also work with investors and buyers to assess regulatory compliance, performing due diligence on potential targets to inform deal negotiation and pricing.
