Responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating Ag in the Classroom workshops, seminars, trainings, and other meetings sponsored by the Field Services Department on the county, district and state levels.• Develop and implement a Program of Work for the Ag in the Classroom program.• Develop and manage Ag in the Classroom budget based upon the Program of Work.• Supervise and provide direction to the Educational Programs Supervisor and Educational Programs Assistant to ensure alignment with program goals, staff development, and optimal delivery of educational services.• Provide leadership for the Georgia Ag Experience (GAE) mobile classroom program and oversight for scheduling, staffing, curriculum integration, partner engagement, and evaluation of impact.• Develop and implement program materials and serve as a resource for the coordination of Ag in Classroom programs.• Coordinate and oversee statewide middle school bookmark and high school art contests.• Coordinate and oversee statewide AITC Teacher of the Year contest.• Coordinate and oversee statewide educator grants.• Maintain correspondence and communication with AFBF Foundation and the National Ag in the Classroom Organization.• Prepare and present monthly reports and updates for the State Board, Field Services staff, and leadership.• Work with various partners to strengthen and expand educational outreach, including Ag in the Classroom and the GAE program.• Regularly review goals and performance metrics of direct reports and provide mentoring, feedback, and performance evaluations.• Develop programs for Field Services as identified by department leadership.• Recruit and motivate members to participate in educational programs.• Collaborate with other departments, including Women’s Leadership, Young Farmers & Ranchers, Certified Farm Markets, and the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture.• Attend, exhibit, and present at conferences to promote educational programs.
