ABOUT CAROLINE OPACIC
For the first 10 years of my career I worked as a Creative Producer in the corporate and digital sector. My main role as a Senior Creative Producer was to plan, shot and direct both video and photography shoots around the world, for huge corporate names such as JTI, Rolls-Royce, Ocado and Lowes. This creative content work gave me a good background for content design, brand strategy and story telling. I love delving deep into a business and understanding how a well thought out creative content plan can help them reach their goals and strengthen their brand. After 10 years, I decided to venture out on my own! At my heart is photography. While working in the corporate sphere, I set up my own wedding photography business, Caroline Opacic Photography. Alongside weddings, my corporate work in visual strategy has aligned to give me a specialism in brand photography and guiding entrepreneurs on how to elevate their brand through imagery. 4 years ago I left my full time job to pursue my dream of being a full time photographer. 3 months later the world shut down with COVID. But, it all worked out and alongside photography I freelance as a content designer and producer. What I’m proud of- Surviving my first full time year as a wedding photographer in a global pandemic when all my weddings got cancelled - Getting fully booked for 2021, 2022 and shooting 30+ weddings a year- Directing a week long video shoot in Japan where I was the only English speaker in the crew- Creating a new Visual Framework for a global Information Brand and using this to brief external photographers in Hong Kong and New York, and shot two days myself in the UK- Directing a careers photography & video shoot in North Carolina for a leading US home improvement store, and working with an amazing ex-Hollywood crew- Being published in multiple UK wedding magazines/blogs including Rock My Wedding, Boho Weddings, Green Wedding Shoes, Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, Magpie Weddings, Bride & Tonic, Pretty and Punk Weddings, Rock N Roll Bride and Festival Brides- Taking part in the Arc 2014 race for charity: 16 days at sea with no sailing experience Specialities Photography, video production (from ideation and strategy through to delivery), Producer skills, visual branding, brand photography, video editing, podcast editing, content strategy, video content guidance, video direction.
