About Caroline Nagar

Passionate about working for, in and with vulnerable communities, I am driven by challenges. I believe in the power of the collective to bring about change and the plethora of solutions that can be designed by strategically leading teams through mentoring, coaching and developing people while creating systems and structures that will drive that change. My work in the development sector (education) over the last twenty years has given me the opportunity to don many hats. The roles I have played have been as a teacher, a mentor to teachers, managing informal centres, managing enrichment programs for adolescents, being a School Coach and currently as a Leadership Coach. A firm believer in \'it takes a village to raise a child\', the philosophy of \'Whole Child Approach\' has me focusing on \'Educator Support\',\'Social Emotional Development & Learning,\'Strengthening Parent Partnerships\' and increased \'Community Engagement\'.Child protection is very close to my heart which has included building systems and processes to advocate for and drive the same, through stakeholder sensitization and capacity building. A key piece of child safety that I have successfully initiated was prevention of child sexual abuse, a menace that ails society at large. My work as a Leadership Coach involves training various levels of education leaders and also aspiring school leaders. If I have to define my approach it would be keeping children and communities at the centre and working with stakeholders who are directly or indirectly connected with them.Over the last year, I have discovered the power of experiential education and have been actively using play and activities to design adult learning and reflection spaces.

   Coaching, mentoring six school leaders to set up systems and processes in the new schools that are run in partnership with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Training teachers who are aspiring for educational leadership roles within the schools. Inducting and training social workers and counsellors of the six schools. Training teachers to strengthen pedagogical practices.
