   Lead comprehensive, long-term artistic and strategic initiatives to enhance audience and donor relationships, community and press engagement, financial accountability, and artistic direction. Secure increased revenues from diverse sources, including grants and two successful annual fundraising events. Oversee administrative and concert operations, including musician remuneration, venue contracting, and artistic licensing. Directly engage with composers and publishers for music procurement, rehearsal coordination, and volunteer management. Chair the year-long Music Director/Conductor search. Craftdistinctive visual identity and website development. Provide essential support for tax preparation, grant applications, and ensure alignment with the Board of Directors and Music Director through regular reporting and active participation in all meetings. Successfully manage the transition to a new Music Director. Drive artistic planning efforts, including repertoire selection, guest artist coordination, and music rentals, in collaboration with the Music Director and guest conductors for the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. Provide oversight for key artistic staff positions, including Orchestra Librarian, Personnel Manager, Production Manager, and Recording Engineer, fostering a collaborative environment to uphold the organization\'s commitment to diverse programming and performance excellence.A performing arts organization whose mission is to enrich, inspire, and educate through live performances of high-quality music, WMPA is comprised of five major programs, including Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic, Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (grades 9-12), Washington Metropolitan Concert Orchestra (grades 6-8), Lyceum Chamber Music Series presenting weekly concerts throughout the summer at Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum, and Children’s Bilingual Concerts iMusicales bilingües para niños!​ in Alexandria’s West End neighborhood.
