About Caroline McCullen

After 19 amazing years at SAS, I am retiring as of September 1st, 2016. Thanks to the wonderful support and constant collaboration with many of you reading this note, my time at SAS has been an incredible experience. Now that I am officially a septuagenarian, I think it is time to enter a new phase and see what retirement brings. Fortunately, I\'ve had a chance to ease into this stage of life by working part-time for the past year. I will always be grateful for the experience of working at a world-class corporation for a world-class CEO and his wife. SAS really IS the best place to work! I am now looking forward to doing some volunteer work in public schools, enjoying my grandchildren and traveling a bit.    Responsibilities of the Director of Education Initiatives include: 1. Leading teams of SAS volunteers who develop and deliver classroom activities that inspire more student interest in STEM and computer science.2. Collaborating with education agencies to implement large-scale strategic initiatives such as 1:1 computing, technology integration strategies, curriculum mapping, etc.3. Advising CEO, General Managers, and executive staff about strategic education initiatives, sales activities, and national trends in which SAS might provide leadership and/or mind share. Representing SAS in statewide education initiatives that benefit students and teachers.5. Representing SAS on education boards, consortia, and organizations that have a positive impact on local communities and schools.
