About Caroline Meehan

My passion is advocating with and for individuals who have been overlooked, undervalued, or historically disadvantaged. Over the course of my career, I have worked to create opportunities and build coalitions to empower women experiencing homelessness, individuals living with mental illness, veterans re-adjusting to civilian life, and children coping with trauma. In my current role as Regional Director of Government Relations for Sevita, I strive every day to make the South a more inclusive place for individuals with disabilities to thrive by strengthening the service systems that support them. My mission is to build bridges between Sevita staff on the ground doing the work and state and federal policymakers to ensure that people with disabilities and their caregivers have the resources they need and deserve. Outside of work, you can find me balancing the competing poles of my personality as a sworn introvert (reading, puzzling, taking meandering walks with my pup Finn to check out seasonal vegetation) and a fun-loving New Orleanian (listening to a brass band porch show, exploring the endless parade of new local restaurants, marching with my Mardi Gras dance troupe).
