ABOUT CAROLINE HICKS

A little bit about me before my years in recruitment - I have always worked in hospitality starting from a young age back in Wales in an Italian restaurant where I clumsily dropped lots, burnt myself on multiple steaming espresso’s however this didn’t put me off and have worked in the industry ever since. From working behind the scenes where it all goes on in the kitchen to front of house, serving, managing and organising events and it’s safe to say I loved it! Even now when we have a work buffet or if a night needs hosting it’s me who loves to take charge, cook and plan the party. I am a great believer in that great service can out do a bad meal. I found if I was organised, friendly, listened, was honest (if food was late or messed up) people always appreciated this and left happy, satisfied and most of all always returned. All these qualities are so important in recruitment and with my knowledge and expertise this allows me to recognise the qualities in candidates that will add value to our clients whilst also giving advice and helping our candidates enhance their own career development. Hospitality people are a different breed - they are resilient, hardworking and seem to thrive on working under pressure.
