Interning at G&W Electric has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding.Commuting a long distance each day has sharpened my time management skills—both at the office and at home. Collaborating with engineers has shown me the value of a multidisciplinary mindset and the importance of adapting to new professional languages and work styles. From learning the ins and outs of a professional office environment to understanding the technical language engineers use, I\'ve been expanding my communication skills and technical fluency. Whether it\'s grasping how our products function or formatting traceable, well-structured emails, G&W has supported my seamless transition into this new setting—allowing me to confidently take on my summer-long projects. This internship has also introduced me to tools I had never used before, such as Salesforce, JD Edwards, and ReportsNow. I’ve not only gained technical experience but also developed a better understanding of how continuous improvement supports workplace efficiency.I’m excited to take on the rest of this internship head-on and continue strengthening my professional skills throughout the summer.
