I lead on the LEP\'s skills, employment and apprenticeship initiatives to ensure Hertfordshire is delivering an effective skill service in line with the Hertfordshire Skills and Employment Strategy and the Skills Advisory Panel Local Skills Report. I also lead on Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal – the premier gateway in Hertfordshire for our residents to explore career opportunities and for our employers to connect with their future talent and discover solutions to upskill their staff. Core responsibilities are- The implementation and monitoring of the Hertfordshire Skills and Employment Strategy on behalf of the LEP- Development of Hertfordshire Opportunities Portal- Partnership development through Hertfordshire Apprenticeship Sub Group, Ambassador Networks, skills and employment forums etc - Reviewing opportunities to access funding to support skills, careers, apprenticeship and employment support programmes in Hertfordshire- Working with our business intermediaries to ensure a consistent message of what skills, employment and apprenticeship opportunities can be accessed by our Hertfordshire employers- Implementing a Skills Advisory Service to be accessed by SMEs to support them in their journey to grow and develop their talent - co-ordinating on behalf of the LEP the Skills Advisory Panel - co-ordinating all activities including the Local Skills report and Local Skills and Labour evidence base- researching and implement strategies for T Level Industry Placements and other opportunities for work experience- Working closely with the CEIAG sector including the Careers and Enterprise Company, Services for Young People, FE and HE, adult employment programmes, the Job Centre Plus and DWP to support careers education activities for our young people and residents
