ABOUT CAROLINE BRANTLEY

As a Registered Dietitian and TL1 scholar for the Center of Translational Science Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies in nutrition research across diverse populations. Previously, I was engaged in pioneering research focused on developing a family-based mindful eating intervention tailored for parents and caregivers of children with Down syndrome. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am proud to be a part of Fitomics, a forward-thinking company dedicated to providing evidence-based and personalized services aimed at enhancing individuals\' health, performance, and physique. Fitomics\' mission aligns perfectly with my own passion for integrating scientific research with practical application to empower individuals on their journey towards optimal health and well-being.My previous role as a pediatric dietitian at Boston Children\'s Hospital afforded me invaluable experience working with infants, children, and adolescents facing complex health challenges such as lipid disorders, heart failure, and heart transplant. This background has deeply informed my research interests, particularly in child obesity and the intricate dynamics of the parent-child relationship concerning eating behaviors, including stress-related eating and mindful eating.I am driven by a commitment to making meaningful contributions to the field of nutrition science, with a focus on improving health outcomes and fostering positive relationships with food. Through my work, I aim to inspire and empower individuals and families to lead healthier, happier lives.
