I founded Habana Cabana Events to design and deliver elevated, experience-driven activations that enhance weddings, galas, corporate gatherings, fundraisers, and private events through curated cigar education and immersive ambiance. Drawing on a background in hospitality marketing, experiential brand work, and over a decade of involvement in cigar branding and education, I built Habana Cabana as a premium event concept rooted in culture, storytelling, and guest engagement.In this role, I oversee every aspect of the brand, from concept development and positioning to event execution and partner collaboration. I design bespoke experiences tailored to each client, curate premium offerings, manage logistics, and lead on-site guest engagement. I manage marketing, content creation, and outreach, cultivate relationships with venues, planners, media partners, and sponsors, and adapt each experience to fit diverse audiences and event formats. ABOUT CAROLINA OEHLER
I am an events, brand marketing, and communications professional with 20 years of experience across hospitality, experiential marketing, outreach, and public engagement. My career has been built in fast-paced, highly competitive environments where success depends on the ability to connect with audiences, execute memorable experiences, and translate strategy into results.I began my career in hospitality and tourism, supporting hotels, resorts, and vacation clubs through group sales marketing, on-property events, guest engagement initiatives, and digital campaigns. Over the years, I planned and executed live events, supported convention and group business, collaborated across departments, and helped properties stand out in crowded markets by balancing brand, logistics, and the guest experience.After relocating to California, I transitioned into public service, where I currently lead communications, outreach, and public education for Kern County’s Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP). In this role, I oversee integrated communications across digital, print, broadcast media, webinars, and in-person events. I produce written and visual content, design campaign assets, manage media outreach, and serve as a public-facing spokesperson through presentations, panels, and radio interviews. I have delivered more than 200 community and conference presentations focused on clear, accessible education.Alongside my professional career, I founded Habana Cabana Events, a passion-driven venture that applies my hospitality and brand experience in a creative, experiential way. The business focuses on curated guest experiences for private events, cultural storytelling, and live engagement, and serves as a hands-on extension of my strengths in brand activation and event execution.I am bilingual and multicultural, having lived and worked in Colombia, Florida, and California. I bring energy, adaptability, and strong judgment to the teams I support, and I’m known for building momentum around ideas while thinking critically and executing with intention.
