About Carolina Guido
Hi!I’m a UX Designer with 4 years of work experience in the government, financial, and real estate tech fields. I have a background in Service Design for Urban Planning, with more than 17 years of work experience. I’m graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning at Mackenzie University (Brazil) and Certified in Web Design at Bootcamp Laboratoria - Chile, in 2019.I’ve been working as a UX Designer consultant at the State of Michigan at the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) using agile and design thinking methodologies, building accessible public online services and improving their Design System.From 2020 to 2022 I worked as a consultant at Santander Bank in Chile, helping them to build better digital experiences focusing on end customers, also improving work processes based on agile and design thinking methodologies, and making a stronger UX Design Community inside the bank.I co-founded Urban Ideas in 2015, which specialized in active mobility, making more people-friendly urban public spaces. In 2021 we published the book “Tactical Urbanism: a guide for Brazilian cities”, in Portuguese. I’m also part of the project “Adaptation of Public Spaces to the Covid-19 Pandemic: Online Training Course for Multiplying Local Agents” both in partnership with LabIT-PROURB in the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. I believe we can build better products by being closer to our customers and also changing the way that we work as a team in more transparent and collaborative ways, improving processes, and focusing on the WHY behind what we do. I love to learn and I’m always looking for the newest trends in the UX design world.
