About Carolina Barraza
As a first-generation immigrant, I know that many career development opportunities are not available at this level everywhere in the world. This has impacted my work ethic and goals by taking advantage of every opportunity that arises to increase my business knowledge and leadership skills. As an aspiring CPA, I have held multiple tax accounting roles that have helped me gain hands-on experience in individual and partnership tax returns. My most recent experience was as an Embark Scholar Intern at KPMG, where I rotated between all service lines to gain foundational knowledge of each and practice needed skills in the field. In addition, I have been able to apply my knowledge of Excel and Power BI to help me be a more efficient and effective professional. As a college student, I have dedicated time to being a high achiever in the classroom and committed to helping others be their best selves through my involvement as a Clifton Strengths Coach and Accounting tutor at the Teaching and Learning Center. I will be CPA Eligible in May 2026. Currently, I am looking to network with accounting professionals to learn from your experience.
