About Carol Geng

Hello! My name is Carol, and I am currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science at Texas A&M with a minor in Art and Mathematics. I have gained practical experience working with various computer languages, including Python, Java, and C++ which have enabled me to develop robust applications and enhance my problem-solving abilities. I am eager to apply my knowledge and contribute to impactful projects as a software engineer!I consider myself to be enthusiastic, dedicated, and data-driven person who strives to do my best to follow and achieve my goals. I am always eager to help and collaborate with others to figure out solutions to problems, and I am willing to put my utmost effort to do what is most effective for this role. I have several skills in software development and programming languages such as C/C++, Java, and Python. Outside of that, I have worked in several technical projects such as contributing to open-source and creating an application at a hackathon. Through these experiences, I learned valuable skills in collaboration and teamwork with my teammates and mentors as well as technical skills not commonly taught in school such as using version control such as git and both front and back-end software development. Even now, I am continually participating in projects and learning all kinds of technologies while collaborating with others. I\'m currently part of many organizations at Texas A&M such as Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and Aggie Coding Club (ACC).Additionally, I have several skills in web development such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and am currently working with React and TypeScript as well as backend technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, and Java Springboot.
