Entity responsible for promoting safety in all aspects of civil aviation in Canada. Canadian equivalent of the U.S. FAA, operating under the international guidelines of ICAO and the UN.• Oversight – Surveillance, Planning, Monitoring and Reporting of civil aviation surveillance related activities for Quebec region.• Integrated Planning & Reporting - Create the region integrated business plan with key activities being selection of core activities, allocation of resources to these activities, justifications for funding requested and the creation and monitoring of milestones. • Regional lead for quality control, risk identification and environmental scans, monitoring and disseminating the industry’s aviation occurrences (CADORS), maintaining the Business Continuity Plan, and liaising with national HQ on program development and delivery.Some accomplishments:o Developed and monitored the Civil Surveillance Plan for Quebec Region and its integrated reports, annually ($14M).o Elaborated a Dahsboard for the Regional Director of Civil Aviation (EX02) displaying real-time regional performance, aviation occurrences and organizational trends.o Launched a modernized information sharing system to centralize regional data and enhance upper management’s decision making.
