I have over 35 years experience as a Family lawyer and specialise in advising clients on financial issues arising on relationship breakdown. Much of my work involves financial remedy claims on divorce, particularly technically complex and high value claims. I also advise on prenuptial agreement (including those with an international element) cohabitation agreements and separation agreements. I have particular expertise in advising business owners and clients with complex business interests and pension provision, frequently working closely with my corporate/ commercial colleagues. I have acted for household names as well as fellow professionals and many of my clients are recommended to me by other lawyers and professionals. Most of all, I enjoy my work!I am delighted to have been included in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame 2025 and also to be featured in the Spears 500 PC Directory 2025. In addition, the Family team at Weightmans has been ranked in the Northwest Top Tier of the Legal 500 in the last four editions and I was recommended as a leading individual in both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners as well as being one of only two lawyers in Liverpool recognised in the 2024 Edition of The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom. The team was also recognised by Lexis Nexis in 2022 winning the prize for top Family Law practice in the North, and was highly commended in the British Family Law Awards 2024. A great achievement!I have been a member of Resolution (formerly The Solicitors Family Law Association) for many years and am a trained collaborative lawyer and Resolution mentor.
