I am an Independent Director and Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years’ experience across governance, strategy, and cross-border advisory work in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and China. My career has been built at the intersection of governance, commercial strategy and cultural intelligence. I currently serve as an Independent Director and Chair of Risk and Finance Committees in the public and not-for-profit sectors, where I focus on strengthening strategic direction, risk oversight, organisational performance and financial stewardship. Before founding Hong Consulting, I held senior leadership roles, including Executive Director at PwC New Zealand and Partner at Grant Thornton China, leading multi-disciplinary teams across audit, advisory, financial due diligence, tax and cross-border transactions. These experiences shaped my ability to navigate complexity, manage stakeholders and support organisations through governance challenges and business transitions.Through Hong Consulting, I selectively advise growth-focused organisations and business leaders on strategy, financial stewardship, risk and NZ–Asia opportunities. I enjoy bringing governance thinking into the operational realities of growing organisations — helping leaders make informed, confident decisions.I am passionate about enabling organisations to thrive through strong governance, clear strategy and a grounded understanding of people and culture. I believe great leadership is both analytical and human, and that sustainable success comes from balancing performance with purpose.Specialties: Governance | Risk & Finance Committees | Strategy | Cross-Cultural Leadership | NZ–Asia Markets | Financial Oversight | Organisational PerformanceFluent in English and Mandarin.
