About Carol Carlan
As CEO of Carlan Consulting, a leadership development company, she is a founding member of the John Maxwell Team, a global training organization for leaders. She delivers leadership training to companies how to hire, retain and develop leaders within their company. A Master Axiologist, Certified in TriMetrix HD, DISC, Drivers/Motivators, EQ and the Prioritized Leadership training program and Growth Curve Strategist. Transforming lives through focused leadership training. Carol Carlan is a long-time community leader and successful business executive. Her banking career spanned more than 35 years as the first female president of a large regional bank, followed by 10 years as the President of the Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation. Leading one of the largest capital campaigns in the region which resulted in a new children’s hospital and expanded children’s services across the region. She was appointed the Inaugural Chair of the Institute For Human & Machine Cognition in 2004 by Governor Jeb Bush serving on their board for 18 years. She is currently the Director of Philanthropy for the Institute For Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC).As a legacy leader, she has served on more than 35 not for profit organizations during her career and is an Emeritus member of the Pensacola State Foundation, founding member of The PACE Center of Girls, serving Escambia and Santa counties. She served on the PACE State Board of Trustees for 6 years, was the Inaugural Chair of the Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) serving on the board for 18 years. She was the 125th Chair of the Greater Pensacola Chamber. She is currently the longest serving Trustee for Pensacola State College.She has received numerous awards and recognition for her community involvement: Pensacola Chamber PACE Awards: Spirit of Pensacola and Business Leader of the Year; as a Leadership Pensacola Graduate, she was recognized by her peers with the Blue Angel Leadership Award, Pace Center for Girls State Board of Trustees Pioneer Award for her many years of service to PACE Center for Girls organization statewide, The Pinnacle Award for her many years of service to state and local organizations, Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Autism Society of Pensacola Hall of Fame. She was honored Emeritus by IHMC in 2023 as the Inaugural Chair of IHMC. She is a Leadership Pensacola Graduate 1984, and a Graduate of Leadership Florida Class 30.Motto \"add value to the lives of others, be the difference!\"
