About Carol Turturro

Writer/associate creative director with experience in just about every category there is — from healthcare to cars, from insurance to food and soft drinks. My work has been frequently awarded with, in my opinion, the most important accolade there is, results. Two examples: My work for First Response Pregnancy Tests helped propel the brand from a distant third place to the leader in the category. And I created the campaign that introduced Dannon Light Yogurt, the most successful new product launch in Dannon history. I’m also a playwright, with a number of productions under my belt. I was honored to have been chosen by John Guare for his master class in playwriting at the Unterberg Poetry Center. I’ve been a Participating Artist at The Cherry Lane Theatre and I’m a member of the Dramatist\'s Guild. Calling on my theatre background, I like to look at an advertising project in a way I like to call “method advertising” (kind of like method acting). Whenever I can, I use the product as a consumer would so that I’m not selling it, but telling people about my incredible experience with it.
