I struggled with this concept earlier in my career and developed a framework that ensures transformation of the financial landscape and increase in efficiency. Here is how I do it! Discover - let\'s face it, you must understand exactly what you are working with. This is where so many accounting leaders struggle. Define - as executives, we are so excited about our vision and it is crystal clear in our mind, but we sometimes struggle with clearly articulating that vision. This step in the 4D method is imperative. Disclose - top-level result requires top level talent. Each member of the accounting/finance team MUST be performing at top of their game. Deliver - many accounting/finance teams fail to deliver results because they lose focus on what matters. To ensure my teams deliver phenomenal results on each initiative, I break the project into 3 top objectives. If any effort does not directly align with these top 3 objectives, the team will spend zero time on it. This is how I continually ensure to continually boost revenue growth, streamline the process and increase the efficiency.
