   Act as primary business liaison between corporate procurement, distribution centers and 3rd party providers to align capacity and ensure timely deliveries within budget. Develop and drive cost savings initiatives with the inbound routings while streamlining processes to automate and improve efficiencies while maintaining exceptional on-time service.Research and analyze customer pick up and fleet back haul opportunities while taking strategic approach to bring additional freight under corporate traffic management. Develop and maintain Top-to-Top relationships with vendors/carriers while proactively expanding company’s carrier base in anticipation of seasonal surge and concurrent changes in business needs. Manage over the road and rail movements between vendors, manufacturing and Albertsons warehouses by providing superior on time service at the lowest net landed cost. Responsible for more than annual shipments of inbound produce, perishable, meat and grocery products with annual freight expenditure of $270 Million. Work closely with division stakeholders to drive cost effectiveness through problem solving and process improvement and develop corrective actions through root cause analysis to resolve any service issues.Maintain carriers and 3PL’s performance to track KPI’s such as on-time pick-up, delivery compliance, routing guide and rate commitments. Negotiates and manage carriers/3 PL contracts with legal team, oversee insurance certifications & DOT obligations, to ensure all compliance and contractual requirements are met.Responsible for TMS maintenance of all inbound scheduling calendars for DC operationsTMS system includes One Network along with strong computer skills to include Excel, QMF Workstation and Access.
