ABOUT CAROL SALDIVAR

As a strategic and collaborative Human Resources professional, I bring over a decade of experience supporting diverse organizations through complex HR challenges, including employee and labor relations, benefits administration, and policy development.In my role as a Senior HR Business Partner, I supported the Treasurer’s Division—including unionized dining employees as well as non-unionized facilities staff; and the Advancement Division, providing guidance on workforce planning, performance management, and compliance. I partnered with leadership to develop equitable solutions that balanced operational needs with employee well-being, while ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and institutional policies.I have extensive knowledge of benefits administration, leave of absence management, and workers’ compensation, with a strong track record of navigating complex cases, improving communication protocols, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. My background also includes experience in higher education and multi-institutional environments, including prior work with the Claremont University Consortium. I’ve led HR operations in shared-services models, managed benefits teams, and supported wellness, and policy initiatives.My legal training as a paralegal further enhances my ability to interpret legislation, employment law, and contractual obligations with precision.Outside of work, I enjoy sewing and spending time on the lake with my family.
