Responsible for overseeing the Access to Baby Childhood Dentistry (ABCD) program for the Department of Public Health (DPH). Duties include monitoring strategies and there effect on the statewide ABCD program; completing quarterly reports and annual evaluations for the Washington State Health Care Authority; providing consultation to the Health Care Authority and other counties across Washington State; developing promotional materials for County providers; training and certifying dentists on the ABCD program from community health centers, County Public Health sites, and private dentist offices; collaborating with school districts, child care centers, community-based organizations, and head start programs; managing the budget for the ABCD program; and convening the Health Coalition and ABCD Steering committee meetings.Responsible for providing consultation for department staff and community on organizational development, outreach, marketing, training, program planning, program evaluation, and behavioral change; developing and implementing processes to ensure agency and public involvement and inviting a commitment to change; collaborating with agencies or communities to assess needs and to develop and implement solutions; designing, conducting, monitoring, and evaluating education/change programs; developing and monitoring budgets and contracts; maintaining quality assurance for education programs and change processes; and developing and facilitating group process.The ABCD program ABCD ensures that our youngest and most vulnerable children (ages birth through age 5 years) have access to dental care that promotes good lifelong oral health habits and helps them avoid cavities, pain and high-cost dental interventions later in life.
