My goal as an arts instructor is to create a classroom that encourages curiosity and builds the confidence of emerging creative people. At the beginning of 2020 I successfully transitioned the 2D Animation and Illustration program to an online format. This structure for online learning has become the template for other programs at the college. I expanded the art foundations and drawing curriculum for the 2D Animation and Illustration Diploma program based on my skills in anatomy, colour theory, perspective drawing, and structural drawing. To modernize the curriculum, I developed new projects to ensure students had skills relevant to the current job market. • Lesson planning and curriculum development• Development of an assessment strategy that communicates strengths as well as areas of improvement• Drawing and design fundamentals• Narrative and sequential art• Production and concept art for games and animation• Editorial Illustration• Process, research and reference strategies using a \"design thinking\" approach• Critique• Written, verbal, and visual feedback via draw-overs and paint-overs• Training and mentorship of Teaching Assistants
