About Carmen Carrillo

I’m a recent Materials Science and Engineering graduate from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with experience working on Nitinol components for medical device applications and conducting research and testing on polymers. My background combines materials research, product testing, and experimental design (DOE) with skills in CAD and statistical analysis software.I’m passionate about bridging the gap between research, design, and manufacturing to develop innovative and reliable products that make a real impact, particularly within the medical device industry. I’m driven by curiosity and a desire to keep learning across different materials and processes, with a strong focus on product engineering and bringing designs from concept to reality through testing, validation, and collaboration.Outside of engineering, I stay creative through baking and figure skating. I also run a small gelX nail business that I’ve grown over the past year!
