As one of the leaders in pharmaceutical mass tort litigation for Motley Rice LLC, I have managed a number of medical cases involving:• Harmful medical drugs and devices• Complex personal injury• Economic recovery damages for victims of medical negligence• Corporate misconductMy focus has and continues to be on women’s products. I was at the forefront of national contraceptive litigation involving Mirena®IUD, Nuvaring®, Yaz® and Yasmin®, and I served on the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the In re NuvaRing Products Liability litigation. Additionally, I served as co-lead counsel in the In re Mirena® Product Liability state court consolidation in New Jersey and as co-chair of the Mirena® IUD Litigation Group for the American Association for Justice (AAJ).Before joining Motley Rice in 2005, I represented numerous clients, both plaintiff and defendant, in jury trials involving products liability, person injury and business cases. Apart from litigation, I also volunteer with several organizations, including Make-A-Wish of South Carolina and am a member of the Alumni Board for the College of Charleston, and I serve as a frequent speaker on medical litigation and women’s products, particularly regarding plaintiffs’ rights in medical negligence and dangerous drug cases.
