ABOUT CARMEN CHOUCINO STORANI
U.S Protection Intern at UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Master of Laws at The University of Texas at Austin, and lawyer at University of Buenos Aires. I specialized in International Law, Human Rights, and Latin America. I worked as chief of staff for several years at the Argentinian House of Representatives. I led a Congressional team during those years, drafted bills, and collaborated with several non-profits. Additionally, I had to strategize and gather political support from other legislators and political parties. I worked at The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES). As a legal assistant I cooperated with filing clients\' asylum applications. I attended The University of Texas School of Law in the LL.M program. My desire to pursue a career in human rights led me to undertake the LL.M degree with a concentration in International Law and Latin America. I would love to continue applying my Immigration, International Law, and Human Rights knowledge to promote regional equality and justice.
