Carmen is the Global DPO and the Director of WFP’s Global Privacy Office. She supports WPF in defining and implementing a comprehensive Privacy and Data Protection Program for the world’s largest humanitarian organization, working over #120 countries and territories, supported by nearly staff worldwide. WFP processes a large volume and variety of personal data and works in some of the world’s most complex environments. WFP brings life-saving food to people displaced by conflict and made destitute by disasters, and help individuals and communities find life-changing solutions to the multiple challenges they face in building better futures. Honoured to work for an organization saving lives and changing lives, awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020.
