Serves as a RA/DEI subject matter expert (SME). •Researches best practices in RA/DEI pertaining to the federal government and stays abreast of changes, modifications, and revisions to laws, regulations, and policies for the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, and the Americans with Disabilities Amendment Act of2008.•Drafts actionable plans to prevent potential violations of EEO infractions.•Serves as SME during EEO mediation.•Prepare case reports for EEO complaints.•Coordinates with other areas of HR, including Retirement and Workers Compensation to ensure that the employee is advised of their rights under various benefit programs which may be appropriate for them.•Conducts interviews with personnel regarding allegations of EEO infractions and hostile work environment complaints.•Provides statistical reports with respect to processing requests for RA. Monitors, analyzes, and regularly reports qualitative and quantitative RA data. Submits annual reports, as required per VA Handbook 5975.1.•Initiates and then facilitates an interactive process between the employee/applicant and the designated management official to identify possible reasonable accommodations which will enable the individual to perform the essential functions of their position.
