ABOUT CARLY BERGE
Hello! I\'m Carly (she/her). I\'m a public health and social policy enthusiast, currently studying medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC). I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Social Policy from the University of Victoria (UVic) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in General Sciences from the University of British Columbia (UBC). I\'m a recently-published children\'s book author of \"Charlie\'s Colourful Plate\", a public health pediatric nutrition book on picky eating based on my experience as a very fussy eater (sorry mom and dad!) and the lack of empathetic, evidence-based information we had available to us at the time. 🤝I\'m the Founder and President of the Canadian Public Health Hub, where we run a free mentorship program to support students and early career professionals in the health field to advance their careers and explore their passions. I\'m a very curious person, always looking for gaps in the systems around me and striving to collaborate with the people around me to fill those gaps. In the future, I hope to combine my love for upstream interventions in public health with downstream long-term relationship-building approaches in the medical field.
