The Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Operations team at Meta (formerly known as Facebook) enables seamless, scaled operational compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. We are responsible for evaluating risks across the Meta family of products for intellectual property and digital rights abuse areas, developing policy and guidance strategies against potential violation, and managing global initiatives to mitigate and manage legal risk at scale on and off the platforms. The Legal Operations team creates solutions that address some of the biggest challenges facing the technology sector today: privacy, intellectual property infringement, illegal speech and others. Our stakeholders - whether individual users of our platforms, regulators, third parties in the business community or others - expect and trust that our services respect and accord with applicable legal rights. It is Legal Op’s responsibility to ensure that the operational aspects of compliance are handled seamlessly. We engage with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance with respect to privacy, intellectual property, contractual obligations and other user rights-related issues.
