About Carly Grether

I am a counseling professional with a strong foundation in school counseling, mental health counseling and strategic communications, bringing a unique blend of advocacy, relationship-building, and leadership skills. I hold a Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Denver and a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. In 2025, I completed coursework through Clemson University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program for my South Carolina Professional Counselor Associate License. My professional experience spans both counseling and communications. In educational settings, I have managed caseloads, supported academic planning, developed curriculum, and collaborated with students, families, and stakeholders. In prior communications leadership roles, I supported fundraising initiatives, membership engagement, and strategic conference planning—experience that strengthens my ability to communicate effectively and work across teams. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, a South Carolina Department of Education–certified School Counselor, and a South Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A).
