About Carl Picciotto

Today I focus on constructing client engagements and managing engineering workstreams. But I\'m never far from system architecting and solutioning, digging down to the technical details. I\'m happiest when I can draw from my technical foundations. At Nytec I led a ~35-person multi-disciplinary hardware engineering team, directly (EE) or through their functional managers (ME, FW, QA). When Accenture acquired Nytec we were folded into Accenture\'s Industry X practice, where I spent my energies scoping, architecting, and selling client deals, then staffing and executing them.I\'m a holder of 50+ patents, mostly from my time at Microsoft (PC Hardware and Surface) and at HP Labs. My patents span multi-mode (touch and pressure) HCI, haptics, wireless charging, print quality sensors of all kinds (capacitive, color, imaging), and applications for optical flow such as media advance sensing or alignment metrology for semiconductor lithography. My personal style and leadership philosophies were heavily influenced by the HP Way, which I encountered early in my career. I have an easy-going nature that brings out the best in the people I work with-Selected Testimonials:\"Carl possesses a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and leadership abilities. His dedication to excellence and adeptness in navigating complex challenges have been insightful to watch. Carl cultivates an environment of collaboration and innovation, motivating his team to achieve remarkable results.\"\"Carl is one of those rare individuals I can turn to when I need help influencing the organization, or convincing others of the right path, particularly when we’re dealing with systems of a high degree of technical complexity\"\"I always counted on Carl for solving most complicated system engineering issues from EE/ FW/ SW / ME, Carl has the ability dealing with ambiguity and brings to clarity through well documented specifications.\"\"He\'s our Maestro that is well versed in orchestrating multidisciplinary teams to ship loveable products.\"\"Carl drives for the best engineered product both in low-level design as well as high level system issues. He has an exceptional ability to keep both scales in mind at once.\"
