ABOUT CARLOTA OCAMPO

I am Provost at Trinity Washington University, where I oversee academic affairs, assessment, and planning across the University\'s four schools - the historic women\'s College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, and Business and Graduate Studies - along with the Office of Continuing Education, the Library, and Academic Services. I hold a PhD in neuropsychology from Howard University, chair the Organizational Development subcommittee of the Board of The Steve Fund, the nation\'s premier organization promoting mental health for historically excluded young people, and served on the American Psychological Association’s Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology advisory council. I currently serve on the National Academy of Medicine\'s Inclusive, Equitable Systems workstream under the Commission on Investment Imperatives for a Healthy nation. I act as an accreditation evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. My research and teaching interests encompass health, equity, and education; I have published on pedagogical reform, racist-incident based trauma, ethnicity, gender, and disease, and more. I direct grant programs for underrepresented women in STEM, and I am committed to creating inclusive curricula that support student success, flourishing, and actualization. I have been endorsed for skills in Organizational Development, Curriculum Development, Public Speaking, Grant Writing, and Student Advising.
