About Carlos Gonzalez Alvarez

I am Bates College graduate, pursuing a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics, with a passion for data science and quantitative research. I have gained valuable industrial research experience as a research intern at Xchainge, a fintech company that helps small to medium businesses improve their financial health and sustainability. Prior to that, I was a research fellow at UVA School of Data Science - Data justice Academy, where I worked with a team looking at electronic surveillance nationwide. I contributed to the data collection, processing, and visualization, as well as the report writing and presentation. Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in data science, documentation, and communication, as well as a keen interest in solving real-world problems and creating positive impact. I am eager to join an organization that values innovation, collaboration, and diversity, and that offers opportunities for learning and growth.
