Maxxeus offers a wide range of solutions for interbody spacers comprised of either cortical, cancellous or a combination of both cortical and cancellous bone. All donors have passed a rigorous screening process beforehand and the allografts were processed using a proprietary method that has been validated to a Sterility Assurance Level of (SAL) of 10-6. All our allografts classifies as Human Cells, Tissues and Cellular and Tissue-Based Products (HCT/Ps), regulated under section 361 of the Public Health Service Act (PHS Act)(42 U.S.C. As an organization we follow the business practice of a first in first out (FIFO) inventory. This means that we use the grafts that have the oldest expiration date before the grafts with the newer expirations. We must follow this protocol in order to be a good steward of the gift of donation.
