Techno-optimist distributed systems engineer. Quoting the writers of Silicon Valley \"making the world a better place through Paxos Algorithms for Consensus protocols\"-)I\'ve been working as an engineer for tier one banks, designing and running high performance compute and grid systems, and scaling these systems through a mix of: code optimisation, on-premises hardware and public cloud. Among the technologies I\'ve used are products such as GridServer / Datasynapse, Platform Symphony, HTCondor, ZeroC, Elastic, OpenTracing and loads of other DevOps frameworks and libraries to build internal tools aimed to support day to day activities, primarily using: C++, Java, and Python.I joined Amazon AWS where my goal is to help customers to successfully achieve complex cloud transformation projects, helping them to optimise their workloads and operational costs. I\'m very excited about the role I\'m playing innovating in the field of distributed computing and HPC on behalf of our customers.I\'m passionate about open-source and coding, interested on formal optimisation methods, Machine learning/AI and the Linux Operating system. In summary, I\'m a happy fellow pleased and humble of my day to day all-around technology enthusiastic life!
