About Carlos J Lopez
I lead large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects in New York City, specializing in complex public-sector work within the MTA environment. My focus is on project controls, subcontractor performance, safety, and quality—where risk, schedule, and accountability matter most.I care about building strong teams, mentoring early-career engineers, and making collaboration work in real-world, high-pressure construction environments.I’m also a published opera and classical music critic. The same rigor I apply to managing major capital projects—structure, precision, and judgment—guides my writing on performance and excellence.I enjoy connecting with people who care about infrastructure, leadership, mentorship, and the arts.
