About Carlos Vela

Hi! My name is Carlos Vela, and I am currently a Technology Consultant at Protiviti. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and minor in Sales Engineering. Growing up, math and science were always my passion, so I knew engineering was for me. I came into UF as an Exploratory Engineer but soon switched into ISE once I began getting leadership positions on campus in several organizations. At the University of Florida, I served as a member of the Florida Cicerones – the official student ambassadors for the University who are responsible for campus tours and aid the President’s Office in both internal and external affairs. This experience helped me realize my love for engaging with people and supporting them through important decisions. This passion of helping others along with my team-oriented mindset is what led me to pursue a career in consulting. Prior to graduating, I interned at Protiviti as a Technology Consultant where I worked on implementing SAP S/4HANA into a client\'s business in order to secure their transactions. I am a hard worker, personable, and enjoy utilizing technology and bridging connections between people to help others achieve what matters most!
