ABOUT CARLOS PULIDO ESCALANTE
Hi, I’m Carlos Pulido, a recent graduate from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Psychology and a minor in Engineering Management. I’m passionate about improving healthcare through innovative medical device development, with a growing focus on cardiovascular technology and human-centered design.Throughout my academic and professional journey, I’ve gained hands-on experience in oncology care at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Spain, contributed to medical device research at Massachusetts General Hospital, and led operations in high-paced environments. These roles sharpened my skills in project management, cross-functional leadership, and strategic problem solving.I’m especially drawn to the intersection of engineering, design, and healthcare, where thoughtful innovation enhances usability, safety, and access. My recent work includes developing a vitals wearable interface, designing an accessible voting system, and co-creating FrostGuard, a de-icing paint solution for safer transportation.Outside the lab, I led as captain of Tufts University’s Latin dance team, worked as a medical assistant at Tufts Sports Medicine, and supported prospective students as a major admissions consultant. These experiences have fueled my drive to lead, mentor, and collaborate.I believe that impactful medical technologies begin with a deep understanding of users and their environments. As I pursue full-time opportunities in the medical technology field, I’m excited to contribute to solutions that empower patients, support clinicians, and advance healthcare delivery.Let’s connect! I’m eager to join a team dedicated to building a healthier, more innovative future.
