ABOUT CARLOS LOURO

CORE Industrial Partners is a Chicago-based private equity firm investing in North American lower middle-market manufacturing, industrial technology, and industrial services businesses.Prior to joining CORE Industrial Partners, I worked as an Associate at William Blair’s Investment Banking Industrial Growth Products (IGP) group, focusing primarily on M&A / LBO transactions.In 2018 I started my MBA at The University of Chicago Booth, and was selected for the Nelson P. Germanos merit-based Scholarship; concluding my studies in 2020. As part of my MBA experience, I obtained concentrations in Finance, Economics, General/Strategic Management, and Behavioral Science. Prior to obtaining an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, I worked at J.P. Morgan’s Equity Research team based in São Paulo (Brazil) for 5+ years, where I assumed lead coverage of the LatAm Capital Goods sector in 2016, year in which I also earned the CFA Charter. Within less than one year as the senior analyst for the LatAm Capital Goods sector, the team I led was ranked as a \"runner up\" in Institutional Investor\'s Poll. Moreover, during my tenure at J.P. Morgan I was also part of the team covering the LatAm Transportation/Logistics sectors, ranked #1 LatAm Equity Research Team in Institutional Investor’s Poll for four consecutive years. Our work in Equity Research helped institutional investors in their decision-making process, by providing them with detailed analysis of company financials, valuation models and research reports on company/industry themes. I see organization as key to ensure good results. I am very goal-oriented and understand the importance of teamwork in driving efficient and effective results. Moreover, I acknowledge that my professional life is a continuous learning process and am not afraid to take on new challenges and ask questions.In addition to my Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Insper, during the time in which I was in college I took advantage of his summer vacations to enroll in several elective courses in Harvard and Yale and learning Spanish at Enforex (Salamanca). Lastly, I studied at “Graded School – The American School of Sao Paulo”, from first grade up until graduation in 2006.
