About Carlos Gonzalez

An engineer is someone who sees a problem in the real world, identifies a solution and then builds a system that addresses the problem. This is my passion- whether it\'s developing novel Internet technologies that address a real need, figuring out how to control a physical system in an efficient and robust way, or developing algorithms which analyze data in order to build optimal decisions. As an experienced team leader, startup founder, executive, and consultant, the process of innovation and implementation is what I spend my life doing.

   I lead an organization which owns the Fraud and AML Platform, the ML Decisioning Platform, and the Operations Support Platform for SoFi. In this role, I partner with leaders across the company to drive innovation across these platforms for the benefit of our members and front-line agents. I help define both technical and organizational strategy while providing coaching and mentoring to my teams of software engineers, product managers, technical program managers, and data engineers in order to help them succeed and grow.
