I am a senior Traffic and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) engineer and project manager with nearly two decades of experience delivering complex, high‑impact transportation solutions across Texas, the U.S.–Mexico border region, and internationally. My work spans traffic operations, multimodal corridor design, smart freight infrastructure, border mobility, and advanced transportation modeling.I specialize in leading multidisciplinary teams through planning, schematic, environmental, PS & E, and construction support phases for major roadway, freight, and ITS projects. My technical expertise includes large‑scale microsimulation and hybrid modeling (VISSIM, Synchro, CTM‑LV), corridor and network operations, smart corridors, connected and automated vehicle (CAV) infrastructure, wrong‑way detection systems, and fully integrated ITS communications networks (fiber, wireless, and hybrid systems).I have served as Project Manager and Technical Lead on nationally recognized efforts, including smart freight corridors, CAV‑ready infrastructure, major urban multimodal streets, and complex border crossings. My experience includes extensive coordination with TxDOT, MPOs, cities, federal agencies, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the EPA, and binational partners in Mexico.Beyond project delivery, I have been recognized for my leadership and global impact in transportation- President Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program (Eisenhower Fellow)- International Road Federation (IRF) Fellowship - UNESCO–Daimler Mondialogo Award recipient for work supporting developing countries in the implementation of traffic strategies using modeling and data driven decision makingThese experiences reflect my commitment to advancing safe, efficient, and equitable transportation systems through innovation, collaboration, and applied engineering leadership.
