About Carlos Chavarria
In my current role at Amazon Web Services, I am a Data Center Engineer Operations Technician. In this role I work with a group of technicians in making sure are data center is always getting power and running at capacity. We do this by making sure are UPS systems and racks don’t go down. Testing out generator incase of a main power loss. As well as giving the all the electrical equipment proper cooling using evaporative cooling systems like AHU and CRAH. Trouble shooting is done when any equipment goes down as well replacing any hardware that is out of date. Writing procedure that meet the AWS standard and working in spreadsheets when gathering data using Microsoft Excel and Word. In my previous role at Micron Technology, I was in the Photo department as a Manufacturing Technician. In this role I use to manage a specific tool set given to me for the day. I use the software provide to as well as Microsoft Excel and Word. The goal in this role to keep my tool up with little to no problems for that day. I had to push a certain product we make out of my department so it can move to its next step. In this role my role I always must keep constant communication through Microsoft Teams on the status of my tool and with another team in the Photo department.

I currently work as a DCEO at Amazon Web Services in this role I work on maintaining AHU, CRAH, and Data hall equipment. Using the software provided to me I watch for alarm or any overheating that might be going on in a certain Data Hall on certain racks. Doing rack power-ups and power-downs. Using Equipment like multimeter to do any sort of electrical troubleshooting. Meeting project deadlines and being able to gather information from other team. SOP and MOP writing for vendors and are own on site staff.
