About Carlos Chang
Creating new biomedical products is an exciting endeavor and a rewarding balancing act. Our team must meet safety and regulatory requirements while we simultaneously develop new technologies. Pushing the envelope while delivering an effective and reliable device/therapy is a very satisfying challenge. As part of the Avery Therapeutics Team, I am working to advance our first cell-based product to market. Our goal; improve the lives of millions of cardiovascular patients in need. Skills and Experience- Leading diverse, cross-functional teams - Medical Device Development, Design Control Implementation- Clinical, GLP, and non-GLP study development, management, and execution- Proposal Writing (SBIRs, Grants, RFP Whitepapers, etc.)- 3D Bioprinting and Biofabrication- Electrospinning biological, synthetic, biohybrid scaffolds- Primary cell isolation and culture (multiple cell types)- Microvascular system development (in vitro and in vivo)- Histology and immunohistochemistry- Microscopy (multiphoton confocal, fluorescent, electron)- great puns and a dry sense of humor
