ABOUT CARLOS ALBERTO FLEITAS
Carlos Alberto Fleitas is an Architect and Urban Designer with 29 years of professional experience in architecture, master planning and urban design. He is an experienced team leader with an excellent ability to work across varying disciplines and cultures. He has worked within a variety of global regions with AECOM in his 22 years of experience in the design and management of a variety of projects in the United States, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. His experience includes architectural design, urban design, master planning, interior design, project management and coordination for projects that include entertainment, hospitality, retail, office, mixed-use, institutional, multi-family and single-residential as well as graphic design and photography. Mr. Fleitas as an architect, urban designer, graphic designer and photographer is committed to the preservation of the urban, architectural and cultural heritage of his native Cuba. He has lectured, exhibited, and been published by international institutions, universities, and museums. As a photographer and historical urban researcher, Mr. Fleitas published a book “canto a MATANZAS”; dedicated to the historical urban fabric and architecture of his native city of Matanzas, Cuba. Currently he is completing a book related to the Civic Urban Design and the Architecture of the Republic of Cuba 19••••58 after been the recipient of the 20••••16 Fellowship in Architecture by the prestigious CINTAS FOUNDATION. He is also carrying out a set of monograms highlighting a series of urban civic spaces and buildings design and constructed during the presidential period of Gerardo Machado y Morales (19••••33).
